      <description><![CDATA[Central Florida has a considerable number of lakes for many reasons. One is the shallow water table, another is due to Karst Topography where underground limestone caverns collapse leaving 'dents' in the landscape known as sinkholes. Over time the sinkholes can fill up to form lakes.
