|I have discovered that one of the best ways to build descriptive vocabulary with children is to have some sort of visual cue to inspire them. The majority of photograph storing websites use tagging or single words that describe the photographs. These can be searched and allow you to see how words are connected and relate to each other.
This site searches and filters these tags - enter a simple tag in the top left and watch as the pictures appear before your eyes.
The above site does a very similar job, allowing you to view photographs related to the tag words you search - a great way to build a bank of descriptive vocabulary.
**The obvious precautions must still apply to the safe searching of images in these two examples**
